Mr. Boyd T. Woolridge, Jr. was born December 12, 1926 in Whitefield, Oklahoma. He is the son of Boyd Turner Woolridge, Sr. Mr. Woolridge was retired from the USAF Air National Guard and an Army Veteran of WWII, the Phillipines, and Korean Conflict. He was a former Civil Service Worker at Davis Air Force Base in Muskogee, Oklahoma and a former employee of McDonnell Douglas Aircraft. He Retired from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers where he worked at Greers Ferry-Heber Springs, Arkansas, Keystone Dam in Tulsa, Oklahoma and W.D. Mayo Lock and Dam at Spiro, Oklahoma. He was a former union president with the American Federation of Government Employees; and the Co-Author of the Civil Service Employee Contract with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. Mr. Woolridge was a member of the VFW Post 8384 where he served as Post Commander 3 times. Mr. Woolridge passed this life on December 7, 2006 after having attained the age of 79 years, 11 months and 25 days.
Survivors are: Wife: Pauline of the home; 1 Daughter and Son-in-law: Diane and Cliff Cantrell of Tulsa, OK.; 1 Son: Bobby Woolridge of the home; 1 Granddaughter: Hollis Cantrell of Germany; 1 Great Grandson: Alex Lomangino; 1 Brother: Wayne Woolridge of Muldrow, OK.; Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends;
He was preceded in death by 1 brother: A.G. Woolridge and twin sisters at birth and a grandson: Tres Cantrell. | |
