Herma Opal Kuykendall Tilley was born December 30, 1919 in Sloans Chapel Community, Oklahoma. The daughter of Frank Steely and Josie Spencer Steely. Herma was a beautician and a homemaker. She formerly sold cosmetics in Norman, Oklahoma. She enjoyed china painting, needlepoint, gardening, music and dancing. She passed this life on January 27, 2007 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 87 years, and 27 days.
Survivors are:
2 daughters and 2 sons-in-laws: Eloise and Jack Nelson of Granbury, Tx., and
Doris and John O'Hara of Orlando, Fl.;
1 son and daughter-in-law: Perry and LaHoma Kuykendall of Sallisaw, Ok.;
7 Grandchildren: Perry Kuykendall Jr., Jon Drake Kuykendall, Karen Richards, Heidi Nelson, Shane Nelson, Ann Axtell, Wendy Hartman;
10 Great Grandchildren;
2 Sisters: Modene Woods of Sallisaw, Ok., and Emma Lou Tiffany of Norman, Ok.;
Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends;
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters: Nina Ruestow and Edith Pendergrass.
