Vida Ophelia Price Thomas was born July 30, 1904 in Rocky Point Community, Sequoyah District, I.T. The daughter of Mr. Joel Strawther Price and Mrs. Lenora Ellen Brown Price. She married Mr. Walter Thomas on February 12, 1921 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1993 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mrs. Thomas was a former reporter with the Sequoyah County Times for Rocky Point Community News and a former member of the
Rocky Point School Board. She passed this life on February 14, 2007 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 102 years, 6 months and 14 days.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
2 daughters: Mrs. Mabel Hall of Oceanside, Ca., and Mrs. Lois Merrill of Gans, Ok.;
5 Sons: Mr. Herbert Thomas of Sallisaw, Ok., Mr. Gilbert (J.B.) Thomas of Sallisaw, Ok.,

and Mr. Jimmy Thomas of Sallisaw, Ok.;

She was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Walter Thomas; Her parents: Mr. Joel Price and Mrs. Lenora Ellen Price; 1 son: Fay Thomas; 1 Grandson: Steven Thomas; and 2 brothers
