They were married on April 7, 1954. Darlene devoted her life to raising her family which soon grew to include 5 sons and 3 daughters.

Darlene’s passions were her family, reading the Bible, attending church at White Chapel and fishing Lake Tenkiller with Doyle. Throughout her life, she was a devoted wife, mother and to her grandchildren and extended family she was lovingly known as "Grannie."

Darlene is survived by sons, Doyle, "Butch" and Terri Terrell, both of Braggs, Charles Terrell of Gore, Jimmie and Charlene Terrell of Owasso, and Billy Terrell, of Coweta; daughters, Judy and Bruce McCoy of Ft. Gibson, Janet Austin of Henryetta, and Sarah Warren of Gore. Darlene is also survived by her brother, Ronnie Joe Spears of Gum Springs and brother-in-law, Lee Terrell.
