Mr. Mark Spurgeon was born March 13, 1952 in Bell Missourri. The son of Chat Spurgeon and Viola Duncan Spurgeon. He married Frances Sunagoowie Spurgeon on March 22, 1996 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mr. Spurgeon was a
City of Sallisaw Employee in the Parks Department. He passed this life on December 22, 2006 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of
54 years, 9 months and 9 days.
Survivors are:
Wife: Frances Spurgeon of the home;
2 Daughters: Cheryl Toon of Sallisaw, Ok.
and Sandra Kay Mason of Sallisaw, Ok.;
1 Son: Jim Leaf, Jr. of Sallisaw, Ok.;
6 Grandchildren;
1 Brother: David Spurgeon of Houston, MO.;
3 Sisters: Nancy Hern of Cabool, MO.,
Wilma Treece of Auxvasse, MO., and
Ruth Ann Kemp of Holts Summit, MO.;
Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
