Willie Bill Iman Spence was born May 17, 1931 in North Hollywood, California. The son of Mr. Lewis Spence and Mrs. Jessie Crane Spence.
He married Mrs. Shirley Nan Sowder Spence on February 5, 1990 in
Mena, Arkansas. He retired after 35+ years of service as a Driver for Auto Convoy Company of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He received several driving awards and was a member of the teamsters union. He served as a Deacon for Cottonwood Freewill Baptist Church and was a member of the Lions Club in Muldrow, Oklahoma and was a longtime Mason. He passed this life on April 16, 2007 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas after having attained the age of
75 years, 10 months and 30 days.
Survivors are:
wife: Shirley Nan of the home;
2 daughters: Nancy Templeton of Mounds, Ok., and
Phyllis Slavens of Ft. Smith, Ar.;
1 son and daughter in law: Larry Ray and Linda Spence of Ft. Smith, Ar.;
2 sisters: Lera Wilson of Muldrow, Ok., and
Vera Frell of Waterford, MI.;
1 brother: Lewis Dago Spence of Statesville, NC.;
Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sons: Jonny Paul and
Billy Paul Spence. |
