Mildred Maxine Skinner was born November 1, 1923 in Lawton, Oklahoma the daughter of Thomas David Tracy and Ophelia (Truman) Tracy. She was married to Don Skinner on December 12, 1944; After their son David was born, they moved to Stuebenville, Ohio. Four more children were born; Marvin, Susan, Earl and Daniel. The coal dust was too thick in the air so they moved back to Oklahoma to Sallisaw. Maxine worked at various jobs in motels. She was friendly and outgoing. She was a long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw. Mrs. Skinner passed this life on June 15, 2016 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma at the age of 92.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

2 sons: Marvin Skinner of Emporia, VA

and Daniel Skinner of Ft. Smith, AR

11 grandchildren: Davy Skinner II, Jim Skinner,

Emily Harrison, B.J. Watie, Steve Skinner, Mark Skinner,

Lorna Emmons, Larry Monroe, Angela Hixson, Chris Watie,

and Lynn Waldemayer

12 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren

1 sister: Phyllis Fagan of Tulsa, OK

Son in law: Albert Watie, Jr.

2 daughters in law: Nancy Skinner of Gore, OK

and Sandra Skinner of Emporia, VA

close family member: Ruth Monroe of Muldrow, OK

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Skinner; sons, David and Earl Skinner; daughter, Susan Watie; her parents, Thomas and Ophelia Tracy; 2 sisters, Wanda Goff and Shirley Meadors; and 2 brothers, Frank and Calvin Tracy, Sr.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 1 pm at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw
