Joe Levi Scoggins was born October 19, 1923 in Marble City, Oklahoma the son of Jess and Nellie (Ross) Scoggins. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, law enforcement and was of the Pentecostal faith. He passed this life on May 25, 2017 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma at the age of 93.
He leaves to mourn his passing:
4 daughters: Phyllis Noisey of Oklahoma City, OK, Jimmie Lou Cesar of Oklahoma City, OK, Druscilla Baker of Moore, OK, and Debbie Scoggins of Vian, OK
3 sons: Bill Scoggins of Claremore, OK, and David and Chris Scoggins of Janesville, WI
2 brothers: Harold Scoggins of Maysville, OK and Ferrel Scoggins of Muskogee, OK
1 sister: Marie Scoggins of Stigler, OK
numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda; 1 daughter, Brenda Sue Patrick; his parents, Jess and Nellie Scoggins; 3 brothers, Harvey, Jess, and Arthur Scoggins; and 3 sisters, Sue Bennett, Merle Ballentine; and Lois Scoggins
Funeral service is Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10 am at Harvestime Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Burial is at Box Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Viewing will be Thursday from 4 - 8 pm and Friday from 10 am - 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
