Marvin "Jack" Rushing was born January 13, 1931 in Mountainair, New Mexico, the son of Irvin Benny Rushing and Velma Louise (Dunn) Rushing. He was married to Edna M. Risley on November 11, 1954 in St. Helena, California. Mr. Rushing passed this life on January 15, 2017 in Muldrow, Oklahoma at the age of 86.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Luke and Nathan; his parents, Irvin and Velma Rushing; 3 sisters, Bennie Irons, Nona Dreher, and Joyce Brooks; and 2 brothers, Dillard and Bud Rushing
Funeral service is Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 1 pm at Short Baptist Church in Short, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Seabolt Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow.
Viewing is Wednesday from 10 am - 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow.
