Mr. Roberts was born January 8, 1924 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of James W. Roberts and Josie L. Reeder Roberts. He was married to Jean Ales on June 4, 1983 in Miller Ridge community, Oklahoma. He attended Akins Baptist Church and was a retired self employed barber and a former employee of Baldor Electric in Westville, Ok. Mr. Roberts enjoyed fishing, two-step dancing and getting together with family and friends at Bradley Ford and Miller Ridge. He also played the guitar and sang. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII where he fought in the Battle of Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He received the EAME Campaign Medal with 5 Bronze stars and the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Roberts passed this life on May 8, 2008 in Muskogee, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 84 years and 4 months.
Survivors are: Wife: Jean of the home 1 daughter and son in law: Debra and David Hall of Madison, Alabama 2 grandchildren: Wesley and Rachel Hall of Madison, Alabama 2 step children: Donnie Ales of Miller Ridge community, Ok and Jawana Martindale and husband Kenneth of Miller Ridge community, Ok. 2 step grandchildren: Jason Rider and Tim Ales 1 great grandchild: Jaxen Don Ales 2 brothers: Eugene Roberts of Muskogee, Ok. and Jimmy Roberts of Glenpool, Ok. several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends
