Arthur Scott Rhodes was born October 13, 1945 in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of Art and Leona Rhodes. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War working as an electrician. Scott was employed by Larry Beck Electrical in Pampa, Texas until 1976 before moving to Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Scott worked for Cellofoam in Sallisaw as plant manager, retiring after 34 years. He was a member of the Sallisaw Fire Department, retiring after 23 years of service. Scott passed away surrounded by his loved ones on February 11, 2016 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

Scott is survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna Rhodes; children, Annie Barlow, Kelli Smith and husband Spencer; six grandchildren, David Barlow, Lexxi Smith, Drake Scott Collins, Allye Collins, Slayte Smith, and Zoee Smith; Mother, Leona Rhodes; sister, Tana Meadows; niece, Misty and John Speir; nephew, Dulaney and Becky Meadows; great nieces, Britton, Emily, and Alivia.

Scott is also survived by his mother in law, Mozelle Calhoun, brothers in law and sisters in law, Craig and Sheryl Calhoun, Casey and Susie Morrison, Phillip and Sonnet Calhoun, and Lance and Brandi Calhoun; nieces and nephews, Jay Heath, Jarrod, Jeston, Michael, Jeffrey, Hunter, Ian, Alyx, Sydne, Eli, Erin, Chadasty, Ashley, Jay, Chris and Heather

He was preceded in death by father, Art Rhodes;
brother in law: Clayton Meadows and father in law: J.W. Calhoun

Scott will be remembered by special friends: Larry Beck of Pampa, TX
and Jarrett Hetherington of Sallisaw, OK along with many other friends.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw, OK. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Active pallbearers will be Jarrett Hetherington, Anthony Armstrong,
Mike Tubbs, Joel Stump, Will Davis and Mike Fullbright.

Honorary pallbearers will be active and retired members of Sallisaw Fire Department.

Viewing will be 10 am - 8 p.m. Saturday, 2 - 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home where the family will visit with friends from 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sallisaw Fire Department.
