Rev. Carthel Hulin Ramey was born September 10, 1913 in Lee's Chapel Community, Oklahoma. The son of Mr. Robert Ramey and Mrs. Menerva Holt Ramey. He married
Bernice C. Holiman Vanderheiden Ramey on December 27, 1997 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was a minister at the Watts Holiness Church, Liberty Holiness, Lee's Chapel, The Block Church of Muldrow, Ok., and The Holiness Church of Air in Muldrow, Ok. He passed this life on
February 12, 2008 in Stilwell, Oklahoma after having attained the age of
94 years, 5 months and 2 days.
He leaves to mourn his passing:
wife: Bernice of the home;
3 sons: Gene and wife Ann Ramey of Muldrow, Ok.,
Junior and wife Portia Ramey of Muldrow, Ok.,
and Moody and wife Jan Ramey of Ft. Smith, Ar.;
4 step daughters: Irene and husband John Christopher of Wright City, Mo.,
Jean and husband Wayne Reese of Lewisville, Tx., Rosa and Clebern Workman of Stilwell, Ok., and Sylvia and Jim Liles of Edmond, Ok.;
1 step son: Harold and wife Corinna Vanderheiden of Bunch, Ok.;
7 grandchildren;
8 step grandchildren;
14 great grandchildren;
6 step great grandchildren;
several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Menerva Ramey;
his wife of 62 years: Marie Ramey; and 8 brothers and sisters. | |
