Dovie Mae Petree was born April 10, 1927 in Brent community, Oklahoma, the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Lewis and Pearl Mae (Gregory) Lewis. She married Marion Edgar Petree on September 4, 1948 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1991 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mrs. Petree passed this life on October 14, 2009 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 82 years, 6 months and
4 days.
