Mrs. Maude "Helen" Shackelford Peters was born March 29, 1920 in Paw Paw Community, Oklahoma, the daughter of Stephen Harris Shackelford and
Jessie Belle Pettit Shackelford. She attended Paw Paw Schools and graduated Valedictorian of her class from Muldrow Public Schools. She received her Masters of Business Education from Northeastern State University while being a Member of the Alpha Chi Honors Society. Mrs. Peters taught at Muldrow Public Schools from 1956-1982 and was a current member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Peters passed this life on December 15, 2008 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 88 years, 8 months
and 16 days.

3 daughters and 2 sons in law: Nancy Bottoms of Muldrow, Ok.
Mary Ann and Carl Edwards of Sallisaw, Ok.
Kathy and Bill English of Muldrow, Ok.
5 grandchildren: Rhonda Rhea Jeremiah, Lisa Kaye Garvin,Casey Edwards,
Abe Locust, Sasha English, and Rae-Leigh English
7 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Dana Rhea Peters,
parents: Stephen and Jessie Shackelford, 2 sisters: Lucille Blaylock
and an infant sister, 4 brothers: Clifford, Cleo, O.D. Shackelford and
an infant brother | |
