George Artist Owens of Roland, Oklahoma passed away June 29, 2012, at home in Roland, Oklahoma, at the age of 70 years. He was born February 14, 1942, in Crawford County Arkansas, to Ruben Artist “Sonny” and Ila Mae Cooksey Owens.

4 brothers: Jimmy Owens of Proctor, Oklahoma, Ronnie Owens of Redland, Oklahoma, Bobby Owens of Redland, Oklahoma and Jackie Owens of Gans, Oklahoma

He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby sister
George was a wonderful son, husband, father and grandfather. His life was an example to those he loved. He believed in hard work. He was a Believer in Christ. He left this world softly and peacefully between midnight and dawn after a courageous fight with cancer, even though here on earth it appears George lost the battle, He is Victorious in Christ! |
