Bernie Netz, 53, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was born June 14, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Bernard Louis Netz, Sr. and Arleta Marie (Cowett) Sheffield. He graduated from Sallisaw High School and Spartan Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK as an airplane mechanic. He was a restaurant manager and of the Pentecostal faith.

1 daughter: Heather Cruse of Broken Arrow, OK
2 sons: Bernie "Trey" Netz of Broken Arrow, OK and Josh Netz of Broken Arrow, OK
1 grandchild: Jerzie Netz
Mother: Arleta Sheffield of Sallisaw, OK
Mother of his children: Ovie Netz of Broken Arrow, OK
1 sister: Deborah Lynn Bradley of Sallisaw, OK
3 brothers: Darrell Netz of Sallisaw, OK, Charles Netz of Van Buren, AR, and James Sheffield of Sallisaw, OK
numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by 1 son, David Netz and his father, Bernard Louis Netz, Sr.
Funeral service will be Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will be at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Viewing will be Wednesday from 10 am - 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
