Mr. John Paul Morton was born March 29, 1925 in Moffett, Oklahoma. The son of Edward Morton and Ida Jane Spoon Morton. He married Wilma Alene Jackson Morton on December 1, 1945 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in WWII and received the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 3 bronze stars, The Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. Mr. Morton passed this life on March 10, 2008 in Roland, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 82 years, 11 months and 11 days.
He leaves to mourn his passing: wife: Wilma Alene Morton of the home; 2 sons and 1 daughter in law: Richard Paul Morton of Edmond, Ok., and Eddy Lee and Cherrine Morton of Muldrow, Ok.; 3 grandchildren: Brian Paul and John Clinton Morton, and April Dawn Chronister; 12 great grandchildren; 1 sister: Betty Stancil of Roland, Ok.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. | |
