Obituary

Rev. David Richard Morley was born December 28, 1945 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, the son of David Harry Morley and Mary Estelle (Mills) Morley. He received his Bachelors in Arts from Cincinnati (Ohio) Bible Seminary in 1968 as salutatorian of his class and his Master of Divinity in 1973. He married Peggy Claire Parker of Decatur, Georgia on August 23, 1968. During the first couple years of graduate school, David worked as a graduate assistant teaching English. He worked for Standard Publishing Company for seven years, in the editorial department and then as a sales representative. David and Peggy ministered at churches over a span of more than 37 years. They served at the South Liberty Church of Christ in Hillsboro, Ohio, Christian Church of Freeport in Freeport, Illinois, Lincoln Park Church of Christ and Central Christian Church in Rockford, Illinois, First Christian Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and for the last six years at the First Christian Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. David loved to study the Bible, preach, teach, write and edit. He was an avid reader, especially of science fiction. He enjoyed listening to old-time radio, watching tv and movies and photography. David passed this life on February 25, 2012 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas after having attained the age of
66 years, 1 month and 28 days.

David loved the Lord and is with Him now. He loved his family and children were the real pride of his life. He will be greatly missed. | |
