Kenneth Bert Moffett, 76, of Marble City, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was born August 23, 1940 in Stigler, Oklahoma the son of Kenneth Elmo Moffett and Maggie Leona (Ross) Moffett. He was married to Lola "Lorene" Cartwright on November 27, 1961 in Stigler, Oklahoma. He had a Masters Degree in Counseling and Guidance, was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and taught auto mechanics at Sallisaw Indian Capital Vo-Tech. He was of the Baptist faith.

1 son: Gary Ray Moffett and wife, Sharon of Sallisaw, OK
1 daughter: Lola Regina Smith of Yukon, OK
5 grandchildren: Ashley Moffett, Amanda Anderson and husband Brett, Cody Moffett, Teagen Howell and husband Mike, and Leighea Stimson
7 great grandchildren: Ashlynne, Emma, Damian, MaeEllen, Harli, Riley and Journey
1 sister: Ellen Mayor and husband Mike of Mustang, OK
1 brother: Pete Moffett and wife Liz of Coweta, OK
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Leona Moffett; 1 sister, Margaret Lane; and 1 brother, James Moffett
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 1 pm at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He will be buried at Ft. Smith National Cemetery at a later date.
