Robert S. McMurray, 80, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, passed away February 27, 2017 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was born October 31, 1936 in Short, Oklahoma, the son of Charles Edgar McMurray and Mary Marriah (McMaster) McMurray. He was married to Celeste Rhodes on March 6, 1981 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mr. McMurray retired from Baldor after 37 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with all of his friends at the Muldrow VFW. He cherished time with family and especially his grandkids and great grand kids.

2 daughters: Rhonda Green and husband Jack of Long, OK
and Mary Berry and Wayne of Van Buren, AR
2 sons: Stanley McMurray and fiancee Susan of Short, OK and Rick Sweeten and wife Melissa of Whitcherville, AR
special grandchildren: Clayton McMurray and wife Michelle, Jason McMurray, Kara Sweeten, Olivia and Evangeline McMurray, and Rhianna and Zyla Berry
The family would like to thank Peachtree Hospice for the excellent care and a special thanks to ER nurse Michelle Phillps, all from Sparks, who went above and beyond. Also, a special thank you to Eddie Kazy and wife Debbie for visitation and prayer with family.

Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
