Mary Beth Mattox was born March 8, 1960 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry "Hank" Gay and Betty Ann (Matthews) Gay. She was a 1978 graduate of Sallisaw High School, a member of Journey Church and a self-employed interior designer. Mrs. Mattox passed this life on July 31, 2009 after having attained the age of 49 years, 4 months and 23 days.

1 daughter and son in law:
Melanie and Larry Sparks of Sallisaw, Oklahoma
1 son: Dallas Mattox of Dallas, Texas
1 grandson: Maximilian Sparks of Sallisaw, Oklahoma
1 brother and sister in law:
Phillip and Pam Gay of Sallisaw, Oklahoma
1 niece: Amye
1 nephew: Jesse
