Mr. Thomas Jefferson "Tom" Lowe
1939 - 2008 

 Mr. Lowe was born October 23, 1939 in Bower, Oklahoma, the son of George Edward "Ed" Lowe and Maggie Toupan Lowe.  He was married to Sandy Shropshire on December 23, 1986
in Van Buren, Arkansas.  Mr. Lowe began his career as a Sequoyah County Reserve Deputy
and Jailer under Sheriff Sam Lockhart and served under 3 Sheriff administrations, spanning
over 20 years.  He also served in law enforcement in many towns across eastern Oklahoma
and was involved in private security in the area.  Mr. Lowe was the former Moffett Chief of Police for 5 years and a former City of Sallisaw street department employee.  He currently worked as an armed security guard at Blue Ribbon Downs Racino in Sallisaw, Ok.  and was
a member of Moffett Baptist Mission.  He passed this life on June 14, 2008 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas after having attained the age of 68 years, 7 months and 21 days.

Survivors are:
wife: Sandy of the home
2 daughters: Jennifer Davenport of Ft. Smith, Ar. and
Terrie Duncan of Wichita Falls, Tx.
2 sons: Jimmy Lowe of Henrietta, Tx. and
Tommy Lowe of Holiday, Tx.
6 grandchildren: Dudley, Stephanie, LeAnne, Sierra, Maddie, and Cami
3 sisters: Willie Dawson, Betty Moore and Edna Jones
2 brothers: Bud Lowe and Frank Lowe
mother in law: Audrey Blankenship of Sallisaw, Ok.
3 brothers in law: Jimmy and Randy Shropshire, both of Sallisaw, Ok.
and Rev. Tommy Shropshire of Vian, Ok.
36 nieces and nephews
he was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son: Steven Paul Lowe
and 2 sisters: Audrey and Ruth

 5 - 9 pm Tuesday
10 am - 9 pm Wednesday
Agent Funeral Home - Sallisaw, Ok.
The family will greet friends from 7-9 pm Wednesday
