Obituary

Mrs. Mayme Smith Lillard was born February 20, 1915 in Prices Chapel community, Oklahoma, the daughter of James Smith and Delia Goodwin Smith.  She attended Prices Chapel School and graduated from Sallisaw High School.  She was married to Woodrow Wilson Lillard on July 14, 1940 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.  He preceded her in death on December 16, 1981 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.  Mrs. Lillard was employed by the Sequoyah County Times and Sallisaw Hardware. In 1956 she began her employment with the Sequoyah County Clerks Office where she was promoted to Deputy County Clerk and elected County Clerk before retiring in 1983.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Sallisaw, Ok.  Mrs. Lillard passed this life on April 8, 2009 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 94 years, 1 month and 19 days.

Survivors are:
2 daughters and 1 son in law: Mary Lillard of Sallisaw, Ok., and
Margaret and Gus Perry of Sallisaw, Ok.

2 sons and 1 daughter in law: Frank Lillard of Tulsa, Ok. and
Jack and Linda Lillard of Sallisaw, Ok.

her grandchildren: Natalie and Rob Johnson of Sallisaw, Ok., Jocelyn and Justin Bartley of Muskogee, Ok., Lindsay and Brad Huddleston of Muskogee, Ok., Hayden Lillard of Sallisaw, Ok.,
Shannon and Colin Westcott of Ft. Collins, Co., Austin and Missy Carrigan of Sallisaw, Ok.

her great grandchildren:  Kara and Avery Elwick, Camdyn Johnson, Isabella Bartley, Dylan Carrigan, Elias and Jonas Westcott

several other relatives and many many friends

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters: Bonnie Smith and Ruby Shanley and 1 brother: Arvil Smith
