James Wendell Kirby was born January 21, 1935 in Olustee, Oklahoma, the son of Amos Kirby and Louise (Blair) Kirby. He married Peggy (Robinson) Kirby on December 3, 1960 in Elko, Nevada. Mr. Kirby passed this life on July 2, 2011 in Muldrow, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 76 years, 5 months and 11 days.

9 grandchildren: Chris O'Bryant and his wife Monica,
John and Brad O'Bryant, Sean and Bryan Reilly, Sarah, Joey and Andrew Paquette and Christian Casey.
1 sister: Wanda Beddingfield of Clarendon, Tx.
1 brother and sister in law: Lloyd and Mary Kirby of Alma, Ar.
