 In Loving Memory of
Mr. Art Hayes

 Arthur "Art" Hayes was born November 2, 1923 in Crowder, Ok., the son of William Carl Hayes and Emma Pierce Hayes.  He was married to Wilma Louise Smith on July 8, 1963.  She preceded him in death on May 14, 2001.  Mr. Hayes served his country in WWII in the Navy as a SeaBee where he was an extra in the John Wayne Film "The Fighting SeaBee's".  He was a body builder and won the title of "Mr. Arkansas" in 1953 and Mr. Strength and Wellness.  He was owner and operator of Art Hayes Sign Company, was in the sign business for over 45 years and was very proud to have painted the signs for the Epic "The Blue and The Gray".  He was a former Ft. Smith police officer , had logged over 350 hours flight time, owned over 210 cars during his life and loved traveling in his motorhome.  Mr. Hayes passed this life on September 20, 2008 in Ft. Smith, Ar. after having attained the age of 84 years, 10 months and 18 days.

2 daughters & sons in law: Janie and Wayne Midkiff of Greenwood, Ar. and
Sonya and Bob Einerston of St. Louis, Mo.
4 step-daughters: Glenda Sabin of Ft. Smith, Ar., Judy Middleton of Farmington, Ar.,
Lois Greer and husband, Bob of Ft. Worth, Tx, Lisa Smith and husband, John of Van Buren, Ar.
3 step-sons: Jerry Sabin of Uniontown, Ar., A.C. Cooper and wife, Cindy of Hackett, Ar.
and Fairon McDowell of Uniontown, Ar.
3 grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren
1 sister: Edline Carter of Dora, Ok.
1 brother: Alfred Hayes of Roland, Ok.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Louise Hayes,
parents: William and Emma Hayes, 1 sister: Martha Jane Hayes and
4 brothers: Edwin and Billy Hayes and Auburn and Albert Tapp

Agent Funeral Home - Roland, Ok.
