Ruby Lee Gunter was born August 1, 1924 in Gans, Ok., the daughter of Alvie Harrison Merrill and Alta Carrie House Merrill. She was married to Joe Bailey Gunter, Sr. on April 14 in Gans, Ok. Mrs. Gunter was a homemaker, beautician and worked at Hunt's Department Store. She was a member of Gans Bible Church. Mrs. Gunter passed this life on October 22, 2009 in Sallisaw, Ok. after having attained the age of 85 years, 2 months and 21 days.
