Jake Gholston, 99, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was born September 12, 1917 in Texola, Oklahoma. He married Hazel Marie Davie on August 19, 1939 in Clinton, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on May 25, 2013. Mr. Gholston was a former cattle rancher, Mistletoe Express agent, and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow.
Survivors are:
3 sons and daughters in law: Guy and Becky Gholston of Bonham, TX, Danny and Lily Gholston of Denton, TX,
and Steve and Glenda Gholston of Muldrow, OK
5 grandchildren: Craig and Cassie Gholston, James Gholston, Glenn and Kelli Gholston, Jaci and Aaron Pitts,
and Kelley and Jessica Gholston
6 great grandchildren: Sofia, William, Paxton, Paden, Harper, and Adam
Special friends: John Garner and Gayle Barnes
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel; his parents, Allen and Dora Gholston; 2 brothers, Mark and Wade Gholston;
and 1 sister, Ora Gholston Peach
Funeral service will be Friday, February 10, 2017 at 1 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow.
Viewing will be Thursday from 10 am - 8 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow. The family will greet from 6 - 8 pm.
