Mr. J. R. Gates was born January 30, 1933 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, the son of Claude Alexander Gates and Frances Anthony Gates. He was married to Wyvona Freeda Bloomer on November 30, 1955 in Stigler, Oklahoma. Mr. Gates was a heavy equipment operator and a U.S. Army veteran. He passed this life on March 1, 2009 in Vian, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 76 years, 1 month and 1 day.
