Mrs. Garner was born January 5, 1927 in Mulberry, Ar., the daughter of James Battles and Ozella Huggins Battles. She was married to James Allen Garner on Nov. 18, 1943 in Mulberry, Ar. He preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 2004. Mrs. Garner was a cook at area nursing homes and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Mulberry, Ar. She passed this life on Oct. 29, 2006 in Alma, Ar.

2 daughters: Shirley Smith of Van Buren, Ark. and
Carolyn Riddle of Greenbriar, Ark.
1 son: David Garner of Lodi, Ca.
12 grandchildren: Lisa Johnson, Terry and Coby Smith, Cambree Willmon,
Ron, Tracy and Shawn Riddle, Kristy Fiddler, Jason, Jarred, Nathan and Christina Garner
23 great grandchildren
4 sisters: Ruth Taff of Mulberry, Ark., Betty Nichols of Ozark, Ark.,
Katie Garner of Muldrow, Ok. and Pat Taff of Tulsa, Ok.
several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: James M. Battles and Harold G. Battles
