Gus E. Fullbright, Sr., 93 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was born September 17, 1923 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, the son of Hettie M. Miller Fullbright and David A. "Drew" Fullbright. He was married to Joyce Fitzsimmons Fullbright on March 30, 1946 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2007. Mr. Fullbright was a Sergeant in U.S. Army Air Force and Veteran of WWII. He was former Sequoyah County District 3 Commissioner, a 70 year member of American Legion Carnie Welch Post 27 and a member of the V.F.W.

10 great grandchildren: Jason Fullbright and partner, Mercedes Bacon of Houston, TX, Drew Fullbright and wife Skylar of Stillwater, OK, Emma and Gus Isabel McClellan, both of Fayetteville, AR, Kristen and Matthew Fullbright, both of Sallisaw, OK, Avery, Amelia and Alexander Bibb, all of Sugar Land, TX and Sadie Bibb of Katy, TX
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, 1 son: Gus Fullbright, Jr., his parents, Drew Fullbright and Hettie Miller Fullbright Barnes, 1 sister: Modean Sells and 3 brothers: David, Bill and Jesse Fullbright
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Mike Fullbright, Gary Fullbright, Joshua Bibb, Jason Bibb, Jason Fullbright, Drew Fullbright, Matt Fullbright and Alexander Bibb.
Viewing will be 10 am - 8 pm Saturday and 2 - 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw
where the family will greet 6 - 8 pm Sunday.
