Myrl Lou Hixon Fargo, 80, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, died Friday, October 24, 2008 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  She was born March 11, 1928 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, the daughter of Carl and Zelma Hixon.

 

She married Edgar J. Fargo on June 29, 1946 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas

 

She was a 1946 graduate of Muldrow High School and a charter member of Church of the Nazarene in Muldrow. 

 

Mrs. Fargo loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, and “maw maw”.

 

She is survived by her daughter:  Nyla and son in law Mike Dye of Ft. Smith, son Terry Fargo of Redland, sister Atha Mae Johnson of Ft. Smith, four grandsons:  Steve Colley, Luke and Jacob Fargo and Bannon Dye and a special friend Lou Soap.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Zelma Hixon, her husband of 62 years, Edgar, a son Marcus who passed away at the age of three days, a son Edgar Dwain, whom she faithfully and tirelessly cared for during his 45 years of life and daughter in law
Ruth Ann.
