Mr. Harper D. Edwards

Mr. Harper Dee Edwards was born January 14, 1906 in Muldrow, I.T., Oklahoma. The son of Mr. George Washington Edwards and
Mrs. Belle Rhodes Edwards. He married Mrs. Bonnie Iva Edwards
on February 20, 1938 in Crawford County, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on February 16, 1995 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mr. Edwards was in
the Merchant Marines, worked in the WPA building the Grand River Dam, was a bus driver, owned his own coal mining truck, and was a retired rancher.
He attended the Muldrow Assembly of God and enjoyed the Circle of
Friends Group. Mr. Edwards passed this life on September 17, 2007
in Vian, Oklahoma after having attained the age of
101 years, 8 months and 3 days.
He leaves to mourn his passing:
1 daughter: Doris Merrill of Muldrow, Ok.;
3 grandchildren: Marvin Merrill and wife Michelle of Springfield, Mo.,
Mark Merrill and wife Gretchen of Charlotte, N.C., and
Sherry Taylor and husband David of Muldrow, Ok.;
5 great grandchildren: Grant and wife Meghan Merrill of Arkadelphia,
Ryan Merrill of Sallisaw, Ok., Whitney Taylor of Wichita, Ks.,
Regan and Hayden Merrill of Charlotte, N.C.;
1 great great grandchild: Molly Nicole Merrill of Arkadelphia;
Several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Bonnie Edwards;
his parents: George and Belle Edwards; 1 sister: Josephine Spence;
and 6 brothers: Mirl, August, Alvis, Brad, Joe, and Charley Edwards.
