Johnny Dodson was born January 2, 1934 in Badger Lee Community, Oklahoma,
the son of John Dodson and Virgie Followell Dodson. He married Lucille Burnham Dodson on March 25, 1955 in Glendale, California. Mr. Dodson was a cattle rancher and the former owner/operator of Dodson's Cafe for 31 years. He was a longtime member of Church of Christ and a former member of Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce. He passed this life on June 20, 2007 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 73 years, 5 months and 18 days.

1 daughter and son in law: Joyce and John Long of Sallisaw, Ok.;
1 son and daughter in law: Jim and Melba Dodson of Sallisaw, Ok.;
5 grandchildren: Jon Dodson, Julia Garrett, Rebecca Rowe,
Kristy Horn, and Kara Kremer;
3 great grandchildren: Aubree Ana Garrett, Hannah Rowe and Kaden Kremer
6 sisters: Nell Scoggins of Sallisaw, Ok., Mary Shandra of Visalia, Ca.,
Grace Babb of Talala, Ok., Shirley Andrews of Texas,
Glenda Brown of Oklahoma City, Ok., and Carolyn Sue Willis of Wichita, Ks.;
1 brother: Bailey Dodson of Sallisaw, Ok.;
He was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter: Jonelle Long |
