Obituary
William H. Dickson was born on February 6, 1937 in Vian, Oklahoma, the son of Henry and Mayodis Dickson.
His parents, sister, Clara Stone and four brothers, Lenard, Kelly, Paul and Charles Dickson of Vian, Oklahoma preceded him in death.
William graduated from High School and attended college for two years. He joined the Air Force and then went to work for the United States Postal Service service for thirty-five years in Los Angeles, California. He loved fishing, bowling, basketball, the L.A. Lakers and Kobe Bryant. He loved his church, Christ the King and his pastor, Rozell Campbell.
On February 22, 1986, William married Naomi Staten Bogard with four daughters, Debra, Linda, Rebecca and Chene and one son, Larry Bogard of Los Angeles, CA. He is survived by one sister, Joyce Johnson of Muskogee, OK; one aunt, Naomi Irish of Los Angeles, CA; two cousins, Julis Dickson and wife Rose of Los Angeles, CA and Mose Douglas of Oklahoma; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. |
