Melba (Peace) Jones Denton was born July 23, 1921 in Short, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry Lindsey Peace and Katie Alice (Branson) Peace. She married James Alexander Denton on December 28, 1973 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on November 21, 2006 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mrs. Denton passed this life on December 31, 2009 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 88 years, 5 months, and 8 days.
