Rev. Charley Leland Davis was born Feb. 9, 1924 in Sadie comm., Ok., the son of Charley Robert Davis and Rebecca Jane Powell Davis. He was married to Annie Oleeta Rape on Apr. 27, 1944 in Buffington comm., Ok. She preceded him in death on Feb. 14, 2002. Rev. Davis was the former minister of Sallisaw Baptist Temple Church and an Army veteran of WWII. He passed this life on Aug. 18, 2010 in Sallisaw, after having attained the age of 86 years, 6 months and 9 days.
