Jack McKinley Daily, 80 of Muldrow, OK passed away February 13, 2015 in Sallisaw, OK.  He was born May 14, 1934 in Muldrow, OK, the son of Ora Geneva (Sagely) Daily and Richard McKinley Daily.

Jack and Connie were married August 1, 1953 in Amarillo, Texas. After a 4 year stint in the Air Force, Jack and Connie began their life long journey in education when they both enrolled at the Northeastern University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  In 1960, with their bachelor’s degrees in hand, they were off to Joplin, MO where their decision to teach was greatly tested.  Brighter days were to be when they returned home to teach in Ft. Smith, AR.  Their paths led to different schools.  Jack's path took him to Ramsey Junior High where he taught math and science.  They each returned to Northeastern where they earned their Master’s degree in education.  Jack returned to college and earned his counseling certification.  It was at this time, Jack left the classroom for a counseling position at Muldrow Middle School where he retired in 1992.

Never one to be idle, he devoted his time to First Baptist Church where he became an ordained deacon, Sunday school superintendent and served as a chairman of the deacon body. As was his nature, He continued to be the one whose ministry to others was always without fanfare and often unknown.

The greatest joy in his life was Connie (of course), his son Madison, his daughter Madelyn, son in law Stan and grandson Jay.  It didn't matter where Madison and Madelyn were, Jack and Connie were there to participate and support them with their presence and whatever else was needed or wanted.  For several years, they practically lived in their car as they followed Madelyn's basketball career in high school, in college and then to Alma where she coaches girls basketball.  Jack felt doubly blessed when Madison returned to be his neighbor and to the farm and the land that they both loved and when his grandson Jay was born.
