Obituary

Gerald William "G.W." Coward was born May 4, 1919 in Lahoma, Oklahoma, the son of Herman Coward and Edna Swiggett Coward.  He married Alice Mae Mayfield Coward on May 27, 1975 in Poteau, Oklahoma.  He was a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran, a member of Badger Lee Baptist Church and a rancher.  Mr. Coward passed this life on June 8, 2012 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 93 years, 1 month and 4 days.

Survivors are:

wife: Alice of the home

2 daughters and sons in law:
 Kathy and Hurshell Gosnell of Cushing, OK
and Jalene and Harvey Slade of Sallisaw, OK

14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren,
2 great great grandchildren

1 step daughter: Becky Cheatwood of Oklahoma

5 step sons: Frank and Lisa Cheatwood of Arkansas,
Larry and Debbie Cheatwood of Ada, OK,
John and Fonda Cheatwood of Sallisaw, OK,

He was preceded in death by his first wife: Luella Holtz
(married Nov. 1945), 2 daughters: Judy and Pamela Coward,
2 sons: Myron and Bruce Coward, his parents: Herman and Edna Coward, 2 sisters: Marietta Nelson and Helen Jantz and
2 brothers: Arnold Coward and Herman Coward, Jr.
