David Allen Cotner, 61, of Vian, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was born July 16, 1955 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma the son of Bill Cotner Gossett and Verley Nan (Blevins) Sykes. He was married to Pebble Earlene Toon on April 1, 2007 in Vian, Oklahoma. He was in food service, a salesman and a Christian.

2 daughters: Allison Cotner of Broken Arrow, OK and Kari Beckham of Alma, AR
4 grandchildren: Brayden Beckham, Cooper Beckham, Harper Vinson and Kaegan Mullens
Father: Bill Cotner Gossett and wife Sharon of Broken Arrow, OK
step father: Ernest Neal Sykes of Blackgum, OK
2 sisters: Susan and Mark Holder of Vian, OK and Kathy Steeley of Blackgum community, OK
Brother: Todd Cotner and wife Sara of Coweta, OK
numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his mother, Verley Nan Sykes, and grandparents, Fred Gossett and Lester and Oda Blevins
Funeral service is Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:30 am at Blackgum Baptist Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Burial will be at Box Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Viewing is Friday 10:00 am - 8:00 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. The family will greet from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
