J.R. "Mann" Copeland was born January 8, 1925 in Vian, Oklahoma, the son of Ben Copeland and Roxie Tavia Marlow Copeland. He was married to Imojean Stites on February 5, 1943 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mr. Copeland worked for Holley Carburetor for 14 years and was a rancher. He passed this life on March 25, 2016 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma at the age of 91.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters: Josephine Bagley, Faye Griffith, Geneva Brashears and Heidi Copeland and 2 brothers: Jessie and Joel Copeland
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, OK. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, OK.
Active pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Viewing will be Monday 10 am - 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel - Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 - 8 pm.
