Obituary


Mr. Ed Copeland was born July 31, 1924 in Copeland Community, Oklahoma, the son of Ike Copeland and Ida Mae Foutch.  He was married to Edith Honeycutt on December 4, 1945 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  Mr. Copeland was a general laborer who did small engine repair and fishing reel repair.  He was also a former railroad employee and worked at St. Clair Lime.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening and his animals and will be affectionately remember as the best daddy and grandpa in the world.  Mr. Copeland passed this life on August 1, 2009 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas after having attained the age of 85 years and 1 day.

Mark Copeland of Bunch, Ok. and
Bobby Copeland of Marble City, Ok.

16 grandchildren
19 great grandchildren
7 great great grandchildren

2 sisters: Ida Mae Cobb of Claremore, Ok.
and Bertha Wiswell of Broken Arrow, Ok.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son: Sonny Copeland, 1 grandson: Doyle Copeland, 3 sisters: Sophia Rider, Cassie Johnson and Irene Copeland, 1 brother: Hugh Copeland, 6 half-sisters: Polly, Charlotte, Virgie, Dorothy, Agnes and Alpha and 2 half-brothers: Jack and Elmer
