Richard Lee "Dick" Cooper was born December 12, 1940 in Ottumwa, IA to Marion and Alberta Koogler Cooper. He grew up in Ottumwa and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Husbandry from Panhandle State University in Goodwell, OK. Dick married Ramona Sue Cotton on January 26, 1962 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. They moved to Edgerton, KS in 1966. He was a National Sales Manager in the Animal Feed Division of Carnation Company for 20 years. Dick also worked at Harvest Brand Industries for 13 years before retiring in 2001. He was a former URA Champion Steer Wrestler and enjoyed raising race horses. He passed away April 6, 2011 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS after having attained the age of 70 years, 3 months and 24 days.

nephew: Shawn David Cooper of Checotah, OK
several great nieces and nephews
