Charles E. Combs was born January 3, 1922 in Beattyville, Kentucky, the son of Roscoe Combs and Mollie Dennis Combs. He was married to Eunice Bailey Combs on June 11, 1966 in Arroyo Grande, California. Mr. Combs was a welder, pipefitter and musician for various bluegrass groups. He was a member of the Nashville Musicians Association, Kentucky Colonels, Southern California Pipe Trades, a Mason and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He passed this life on February 2, 2012 in Muldrow, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 90 years and 29 days.

2 step-daughters: Pat Armero and Jane Burke, both of California
2 step-sons: Leon Leornas and Leonard Leornas, both of California
1 brother: Jack Combs of Indiana
11 step grandchildren,
23 step great grandchildren and
6 step great great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents,
3 step-children: Clifford, Don and Shirley Leornas,
