Mrs. Clark was born June 29, 1922 in Redland, Oklahoma, the daughter of Wallace Black and Nellie (Underwood) Black. She was a 1938 graduate of Gans High School and received her LPN degree from Westark College in Ft. Smith, Ar. Mrs. Clark was a former licensed beautician who ran her own beauty shop in Ft. Smith, Ar. During WWII whe worked at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa, Ok. to assist in the war effort. She was of the Methodist faith. She was married to James Ralph Clark on March 6, 1947 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2001 in Ft. Smith, Ar. Mrs. Clark passed this life on October 21, 2006 in Stigler, Ok. after having attained the age of 84 years, 3 months and 22 days.
Survivors are:
1 daughter and son in law: Jan and Keith Votravis of Quinton, Ok.,
1 granddaughter: Stacey Henderson and her husband, Brian of Stigler, Ok.
1 great grandson: Wade Henderson of Stigler, Ok.
several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 sister: Johnnie Jones
and 2 brothers: Amos and Troy Black |
