Jack Choate was born April 27, 1944 in Marble City, Oklahoma, the son of James Anderson "Jim" Choate and Flora Belle (Harvey) Choate. He was married to Betty Annette Rhoades on July 13, 1963 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on August 4, 2008. Mr. Choate passed this life on January 2, 2017 in Vian, Oklahoma at the age of 72.
He leaves to mourn his passing:
2 daughters: Becky and Anna Connelly, both of Vian, OK
4 sons: Andy Choate of Vian, OK, David Choate of Marble City, OK, Joe Choate of Vian, OK and Sam Choate of Sallisaw, OK
numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren
2 sisters: Linda Campbell of Marble City, OK and Mozelle Calhoun of Sallisaw, OK
He was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Martha Choate and Leah Estes; 2 grandchildren, Natalie Connelly and Trent Choate; parents, Jim and Flora Choate; 2 sisters, Berniece Bush and Freda Cupp; 4 brothers, Bill, Pete, Raymond, and Buck Choate
Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 2 pm Vian Trinity Holiness Church. Burial will be at Haven of Rest Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Viewing will be Tuesday at 5 pm at Vian Trinity Holiness Church.
Active Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bro. Marshall Tatum, Bro. Dwayne Jett, Bro. Herbert Lee, Bro. Dale Brake, Bro. Jeff Harris, Bro. Max Patterson, Bro. Larry Swanson, nephews, coworkers, and brothers through the years.
