Obituary

Mr.  D.C. Cherry was born October 24, 1923 in Paw Paw community, Oklahoma, the son of Dave C. Cherry and Eva Lou Langford Cherry.  He was married to Robbie Sue Condren on December 15, 1945 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mr. Cherry was a furniture factory employee until his retirement.  He was an Army veteran of WWII, serving in the Phillipines as a paratrooper.  An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed the Muldrow Bulldogs.  He dearly loved his grandchildren.  Mr. Cherry passed this life on December 24, 2008 in Muldrow, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 85 years and 2 months.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

wife of 63 years:  Robbie Sue of the home

4 sons and daughters in law:  Pat Allen and Rosemary Cherry of Muldrow, Ok.,
Don Page and CharleneCherry of Muldrow, Ok.,
Ricky D. and VickieCherry of McAlester, Ok.,
L.A. and Kathy Cherry of Muldrow, Ok.

4 daughters and sons in law:  Connie Sue and Wesley Keith of Sallisaw, Ok.,
Vicki and Danny Tate of Liberty, Ok.,
Betty and Ron Curtis of Checotah, Ok.,
Marsha and Dale Graham of Harrison, Ar.

23 Grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild

several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother:  Melvin Cherry,
and 3 sisters:  Lillian Smith, Hazel Hixon, and Dorothy Cherry
