Nathaniel Catlett was born August 5, 1918 in Sugar Grove, Arkansas, the son of Gerome Catlett and Rosie Ella Weaver Catlett. He married Lelan Lucille (Rowland) Catlett on September 16, 1934 in Vian, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on October 16, 2011 in Roland, Oklahoma. Mr. Catlett was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a farmer, worked at Williams Hardware for 20 years and Speer Hardware for 18 years. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Mr. Catlett passed this life on July 9, 2012 in Roland, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 93 years, 11 months and 4 days.

He was preceded in death by his wife, 1 daughter: Imogene Treat, his parents, 2 sisters: Virgie McConnell and Delilah Vessell
and 3 brothers: Sherman, Harrison and Vester Catlett
