Mr. James "Jim" Carr was born June 13, 1910 in Liberty community, Oklahoma, the son of Joshua Ketchum Carr and Susie Jane Weaver. Mr. Carr was a Methodist, he served on the Roland School Board, Roland City Council, was former Mayor of Roland, The Farm Home Administration, and was appointed Senator Bellman to The Oklahoma State Agricultural Commitee. Mr. Carr passed this life on December 8, 2008 in Roland, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 98 years, 5 months and 25 days.
Survivors are:
1 son and daughter in law: Billy and June Carr of Tulsa, Ok.
4 grandchildren: Tony Carr of Tulsa, Ok., Paula Canning of Houston, Tx.,
Brenda Doucette of Austin, Tx., and Caryl Baldwin of Tulsa, Ok.
8 great grandchildren: Conor, Brittney, Kim, Ashley, Quinn,
Lauren, Jordan and Hannah
5 great great grandchildren: Bailee, Ethan, Emma,
Liam and Kinley
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife: Mildred Evans Carr,
2nd wife: Doris Montgomery Carr, his parents: Joshua and Susie Carr,
2 brothers: Andy and Cass Carr, and 2 sister Beatrice Woffard. |
