In Loving Memory of Mr. B.Q. "Dean" Callahan 1920 - 2008 |
Mr. Callahan was born December 19, 1920 in Drakes Prairie community, Oklahoma, the son of Rev. Drury C. Callahan and Nancy (Shook) Callahan. He was married to Lucille Marie Hester on November 26, 1941 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She preceded him in death on September 30, 2007 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mr. Callahan was a former heavy equipment operator who worked on Tenkiller Dam, Kerr Lock and Dam. He was a former Sequoyah County District #3 employee and retired from the City of Sallisaw in 1986. He was a member of Blunt Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He passed this life on September 15, 2008 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 87 years, 8 months and 26 days.
Survivors are: 1 son in law: Bill Nation of Sallisaw, Ok. 2 granddaughters: Kelly Hale of Sallisaw, Ok. and Jayna House of Warner, Ok. 4 great grandchildren: Josh, Loryn, Karee and Benjamin several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Brenda Nation, 6 sisters, 1 brother and his parents. | |
