Mrs. Audra Bagley Callahan was born August 28, 1920 in Vian, Oklahoma the daughter of Sam Bagley and Ada Marie (Crow) Bagley. She married Mr. William "Barney" Callahan on June 19, 1937 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 17, 1998 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Audra was a founding member of Oakridge Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw, Ok. She lived on Drake Prairie, also in McFarland, California, and Bakersfield many years, where she worked in Agriculture, was a top salesperson for Avon Products, then invested in Real Estate in Tehachapi until 1972, when the family returned to Vian and Sallisaw where they purchased Colonial Square Apartments from her niece, Vera Park, which they owned and managed until retirement. She passed this life on May 11, 2008 in Muleshoe, Texas after having attained the age of 87 years, 8 months, and 13 days.
Survivors are:
2 sons and daughters in law: Al and Geana Callahan of Poteau, Ok. and Bill and Nancy Callahan of Maple, Tx.
6 grandchildren: Jason Callahan of Wann, Ok., Marcus Callahan of Bartlesville, Ok., Kevin and Keri Callahan, Bong and Michael MacDoran, all of California
6 great grandchildren: Taylor Callahan Engelman, Jake, Amanda and Noah Callahan, Christina and John Morgan Cook
she was preceded in death by her husband Barney Callahan, her parents, twin sons: Earl and Sherle who died as infants, 1 sister: Pauline Allen and 6 brothers: Lonnie Bagley, S. E. Bagley, Hubert Bagley, Allen Bagley, Floyd Bagley and Lester "Dick" Bagley |
